This book is riveting.
I have a different, wider perspective on Central Asia and our country's involvement.
One summer in the early 1980s I lost myself and my summer camp campers in the woods overnight. Novice compass skills only added to our lostness as we kept orienting our course from our position....which was LOST. I was a teenage counselor-in-training at the time and the experience has become a metaphor for my faith. I still get 'lost in the woods' sometimes, but I am seeking to orient my course on Truth.

HI, thanks for the comment. Is your other blog about school? IT says you need to be invited. iF it is a school blog, can I come visit?
Thanks,
Susan
Hey, I came across your site, and after I read your title and the little snippet right after it, I have to ask you to come over to my site and read my adventure in the woods! It is so similar to what you just described. Go to www.whitakerlegacy.blogspot.com and on the right find Christ links, and then scroll all the way down; it was my very first entry on May 1, this year. Neat how God works!
I'm going to order a copy of that book. You have mentioned it twice so it must be GOOD.
Thanks for letting us know about it, G!
Oh dang! I just passed the book on to a friend.
I'm going to try to read more this year. My reading has been a bit shackled to home school unit planning lately. I'm hoping that by actuallly having a 'core', CC, I will be freed up to do some other things.
:-) G
